Austin Locksmiths has been providing a fully equipped mobile locksmith service to customers in Portslade and throughout East Sussex since 2009. James is based in Brighton and Marco is based in Eastbourne.

We are members of the ICL (Institute of Certified Locksmiths) and the UKLA (United Kingdom Locksmith Association).

Both James and Marco are cleared by the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service – formerly the Criminal Records Bureau) and hold certificates that are voluntarily renewed every three years. This clearance offers peace of mind to our customers in Portslade, especially when it is necessary that work be carried out in locations where there are vulnerable individuals, eg schools and care homes etc. Certificates will be carried and produced on-site or copies may be provided ahead of a site visit by email where required.

Professional Public Liability insurance of £5m is always maintained.

Whilst we are busy, we are not so large that we have to charge VAT,  meaning that our prices are immediately 20% lower as a result. There is also no callout charge, meaning that if we are not able to resolve your lock problem (rare) there will be no charge at all, i.e. No fix, no fee.
